Following on from the early success of the Edinburgh and South-East Scotland City Region Deal-funded Intensive Family Support Service, the Maximise! Early Years service has been extended to a further five centres in the city.
Maximise! Early Years takes a trauma informed, whole family early intervention and prevention approach, supporting families with at least one child under 5 years of age in attendance at Stenhouse, Sighthill, Calderglen, Hailesland, and Gilmerton Early Years Centres.
This service sits alongside the existing Intensive Family Support Service Provision Maximise! Early Years, which currently operates in five Early Years Centres in the North West and North East of the city under the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal Intensive Family Support Service.
Maximise! Early Years focuses on supporting families that face multiple barriers to moving out of poverty and require additional support, as identified by Early Years Practitioners. The provision takes a multi-disciplinary approach, providing whole family support, income maximisation and employability and training support across the five centres.
Support is flexible and informed by families needs - taking place within the family home, local community or Early Years Centres.
