PARENTS LOOKING FOR EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT
If you are a parent, or a professional supporting a parent, you can contact the PES team for support
Based within the City of Edinburgh Council, The Parental Employability Support service offers free and confidential support for parents. Parents can get one-to-one support to build an action plan and help to:
- Access services that will help parents to overcome barriers,
- Support parents to move towards an employment goal,
- Gain new skills and qualifications,
- Gain more confidence,
- Understand how to maximise income and benefits,
- Complete job applications, create a CV and prepare for interviews.
Parents could be eligible for support if any of the following apply:
- Lone parent
- Parent or child with a disability
- Parent of 3 or more children
- Parent from a minority ethnic background
- Parent with a child under 1 year old
- Parent under 25 years old
